**Production Operations Specialist**

 

The role of a Production Operations Specialist is to oversee day-to-day stair production and machine maintenance. This position involves working closely with the Production Manager to ensure seamless production schedules are maintained.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting machine issues to minimize impact on throughput.
  • Driving work schedules and recognizing bottlenecks to maximize production output.
  • Conducting quality checks on finished goods and investigating rework activities to eliminate ongoing issues.
  • Providing training for new staff and mentoring/coaching existing team members.
  • Maintaining 5S standards and ensuring safe working practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing with joinery and timber products.
  • In-depth knowledge of SCM and CNC machine operation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings and written specifications.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia and ability to work overtime as required.
