Role Summary:

A strong leader is required to manage a crew and oversee vegetation removal and drain maintenance on the rail corridor from Wollongong to Nowra.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team to clear vegetation and conduct drainage works
  • Coordinate scheduling duties and operate excavators and drive trucks
  • Use machinery, chainsaws, mowers, snippers, etc. to support works
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
  • Liaise with rail authorities to maintain smooth operations
  • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and compliance checks
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in grounds maintenance or labouring within a small team
  • Ability to travel across the South Coast corridor
  • Drivers licence and HR licence (with a clean driving record)
  • RIW ticket (essential)
  • Commitment to a drug & alcohol-free workplace
  • White Card
  • Excavator operation with a bucket (desirable)
  • Customer service and communication skills
