Product Design Manager Role

The Product Design Manager is responsible for leading a high-performing design team to create seamless and reliable shopping experiences. The role oversees the end-to-end customer experience across our eCommerce journey, from basket to payments and post-purchase.

This leadership position guides the design vision, enables great work to happen, and ensures customers enjoy a smooth and frictionless shopping experience. As a key member of our triad model with Product and Engineering leaders, you will play a pivotal role in partnering closely to strengthen web and app experiences.

About the Job
  • Lead and develop a talented design team of six members.
  • Provide direction and feedback to ensure milestones are met.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to drive strategic design decisions.
  • Balance people leadership with strategic design direction.

As a Product Design Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing design strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Ensuring design solutions meet user needs and business goals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience managing a design team of 3 or more people.
  • A strong background in eCommerce with a deep understanding of online shopping behaviors and best practices.
  • Ability to balance people leadership with strategic design direction.
