About the Role

Ahrens is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operations of the Olympic Dam division. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing and maintaining operational efficiency by implementing best practices, including proper systems and processes across the division.

The Operations Manager will also manage and mentor team members to ensure a high level of customer service and work performance is consistent across the team. Key responsibilities include overseeing recruitment to ensure staffing requirements are met, budgeting and forecasting, quality assurance, stakeholder management, as well as providing strategic input and operational support to ensure successful project delivery.

Flexible FIFO rosters and work arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate. The role requires a proactive and passionate leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead a team at Olympic Dam.

Skills and Qualifications

The preferred candidate must have relevant tertiary qualifications as well as proven experience in a similar role within the mining and/or construction industry. Experience in leading the bidding and tendering process is highly desirable for this role.
