Job Description:

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality in-home care to our valued clients.

You will be responsible for providing consumer-directed care services as prescribed in client care plans, assisting with mobility and transfers, and performing other Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks to support independent living.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting clients with general domestic duties
  • Participating in care plan development to ensure clients' evolving needs are being met
  • Recognising and responding to changes in clients' conditions, documenting and communicating this information as required
  • Treating clients with dignity and respect, supporting their choice and independence

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum Certificate III qualification in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Community Services
  • Preferably 12 months experience working in the Home Care sector, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care services
  • Genuine empathy with elderly clients and a passion for working within the community service industry
  • Understanding of specialised service delivery within diverse groups
