Your new company
Your new role
Reporting to the Programme Co-ordinator, you will provide in-home support to community clients, assisting with all their daily living needs. Your primary goal will be to promote their independence while ensuring their ongoing safety and well-being. You will excel in communication, maintain a professional approach, and exhibit a confident manner. Shift durations will vary between 4 and 8 hours, based on client needs, with general service hours spanning from 7am to 8pm, across a 7-day roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care, including showering, dressing, medication assistance, and manual handling needs.
- Domestic Assistance, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping, and light gardening.
- Providing company through friendships, interests and activities.
- Driving and Community Access, which will include driving your clients to appointments, shops, and outings if needed.
- Booking appointments, organising special events, and offering support with technology.
- Keeping up to date with all personal development and in-house training programmes.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged care).
- HLTOAD011 Provide First Aid (including CPR).
- HLTFSE001 - Following basic food safety practices.
- HLTFSE005 - Apply and monitor food safety requirements.
- HLTFSE007 - Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace.
- Valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
- National Police Check.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Sound verbal and written communication abilities.
- Sound computer skills, including the ability to operate and maintain an information database.
