Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist
About the RoleThis is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to join our Developmental Specialist Team as an Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing specialist consultation and assessment services for infants, children, and young people who have suffered trauma, neglect, or disrupted attachment.
The primary objectives of this role are:
- To provide leadership support to the clinical team leader, including building partnerships and driving team performance.
- To complete secondary consultations with staff regarding occupational needs, focusing on sensory processing.
- To complete Occupational Therapy assessments through Intensive Therapeutic Services and Fee for Service programs.
- To provide clinical supervision to clinicians and students.
- To contribute to training requests for staff and external agencies.
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for working within a team and making a positive impact on young people's lives. Key requirements include:
- Bachelor Level or Higher qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Experience working with children, young people, families, and carers, with a sophisticated understanding of child development, trauma theory, attachment theory, and systemic work.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
