Description:

The role of Creative Arts Teacher involves teaching a range of arts subjects, including Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Drama. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students across all Key Learning Areas with a focus on the Creative Arts, Music, Dance and Drama.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of students.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to inform student learning and make data-driven decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to provide a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A deep understanding and commitment to the Catholic School mission and purpose.
  • Accredited qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment.
  • NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
  • Working With Children Clearance.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering Creative Arts syllabus.
