This is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to join our school community as an Artistic Educator. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Creative Arts, Music, Dance, and Drama to students.
- Key Responsibilities:
- To create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).
- To plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
- To apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- To implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
- To use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- To demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Essential Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrating a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of our educational institution.
- Creating and maintaining an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment.
- Planning for and implementing effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
- Applying knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Implementing effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Using a range of assessment strategies and analysing data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrating commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
- Experience in delivering Creative Arts syllabus including Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Drama.
- Willingness to work with a school choir and/or dance group.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6 are required.
- Accreditation with NESA to teach in NSW is also required.
- A Working With Children Check clearance is mandatory.
