Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned data center professional to serve as a technical leader and resource within our Amazon data centers. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and fan pack units.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure, ensuring high-quality work performance without impacting internal or external customers. Additionally, the Data Center Facility Manager will manage teams of engineering technicians, develop staff skills, and lead improvement projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure overall availability and reliability of data center operations by managing teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career
  • Engage in improvement projects, driving them from concept to completion
  • Coordinate daily with multiple third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs
  • Routinely operate as the after-hours on-call Data Centre Facility Manager for the data centres in the region, responding to issues and managing investigation, mitigation, and recovery
