Desktop Support Professional
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional desktop support and tackling technical challenges to ensure smooth IT operations.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide frontline desktop support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently. You will also use ticketing systems to track user requests and issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
In addition, you will collaborate with other IT professionals to diagnose and repair network and connectivity issues promptly. You will maintain hardware and software inventories, ensuring up-to-date records of all IT assets.
You will also assist in deploying new workstations and peripherals, ensuring proper configuration and user readiness. Furthermore, you will support the SCCM environment for deploying applications, updates, and maintaining configurations.
As a Desktop Support Professional, you will continuously monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements. You will also document procedures and troubleshooting steps for common issues to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements- Troubleshooting skills: The ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively.
- Desktop support expertise: Proficiency in desktop support tasks, ensuring end-users experience minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- IT support experience: Experience in IT support, providing exceptional customer service to resolve technical challenges promptly.
- Technical support knowledge: Technical support knowledge to address and solve diverse issues across various platforms and environments.
- Laptop support skills: The ability to maintain, repair, and optimize laptop performance for enterprise users.
- SCCM experience: Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for managing system deployments and configurations.
- Ticketing tool proficiency: Expertise in using ticketing tools to manage, track, and resolve user issues systematically and efficiently.
- Hardware troubleshooting capabilities: Strong computer hardware troubleshooting capabilities to maintain optimal system functionality and uptime.
