Lead Psychiatrist - Clinical Expertise

The position of Lead Psychiatrist is a vital role in providing specialist psychiatric services to patients on the Central Coast.

This leadership opportunity will allow you to utilize your clinical expertise and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, promoting patient safety and quality care through effective leadership, training, and supervision of doctors in training and health workers.

  • Develop and implement strategies for enhancing team performance and improving patient outcomes
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members in their clinical practice and career development

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Current Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualifications
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
