About the OpportunityThis permanent, full-time position requires a motivated self-starter to provide technical support and advice to our Case Managers based in our Recovery and Return to Work team.
You will use your previous experience across many facets of workers compensation to coach team members and provide creative and strategic advice in accordance with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines.
This role offers flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Your Responsibilities- Provide technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines
- Assist the claims teams in achieving performance measures
- Review and provide feedback about current claims management practices and procedures
- Develop strategic initiatives and procedures to ensure all service, performance and compliance measures are achieved
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A strong technical background within the Victorian workers compensation scheme is mandatory
- Previous experience as a technical specialist or similar role in workers compensation claims is preferred
- Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
- Superior time management and negotiating skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
