We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSEQ Coordinator to join our Sydney Service and Construction Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and subcontractor audits to ensure compliance with HSEQ procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in and lead Toolbox Talks and other training sessions to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive safety culture, values, and initiatives.
  • Partner with site managers and front-line supervisors to provide guidance and support on HSEQ matters.
  • Mentor and coach site leadership to manage and implement safety programs.
  • Coordinate WH&S training for relevant staff, including incident investigations, risk assessments, and internal audits.
  • Investigate and resolve injuries and incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Support project teams in the coordination of incident management and return-to-work responsibilities.
  • Administer and maintain WH&S data management systems.
  • Assist the organization during major safety audits and ensure accurate records and documentation.
  • Support operational teams with HSEQ activities and initiatives on permanent and temporary sites.
  • Conduct internal HSEQ operational audits, inspections, and reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of new HSEQ programs and training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Trade or construction background.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including presenting to groups and developing cooperative working relationships.
  • Computer and technology literacy, including Office 365 and mobile/tablet-based apps.
  • Current Drivers License.
  • General Construction Industry Induction Card (white card).
  • Willingness to travel as needed for site inspections and training sessions within Sydney.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Electrical background.
  • WHS Qualifications (or ability to attain).
  • Experience in safety activities within a construction, service, or trade environment.
