Emergency Nursing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Nursing Specialist to join our dynamic veterinary hospital team. As a key member of our emergency and critical care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice, and contributing to the delivery of outstanding clinical services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency and critical care patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist veterinarians during diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries, adhering to the highest standards of patient care.
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including post-operative care, and respond to emergencies efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with the veterinary team, pet owners, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care.

Qualifications and Experience We Are Looking For:
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or critical care setting preferred.
  • Strong technical nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency response.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work across a 24/7 roster, adapting to the dynamic nature of emergency and critical care.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team.
  • A positive attitude with a strong commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients.
