As an Enrolled Nurse in our Day Surgery Admissions department, you will be part of a highly skilled team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
About the Role
The Day Surgery Admissions department is a 40-bed shared public and private area, where patients are admitted for theatre procedures. As a Nurse in this role, you will work closely with patients and colleagues to ensure a smooth and seamless admission process. Your strong clinical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills will be essential in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Admit patients for theatre procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation
- Assess patients' medical histories and develop individualised care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care
- Maintain a high level of patient satisfaction and safety
Requirements
- Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
- Proven clinical experience in day surgery
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
