Fish and Bird Net Maintenance Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to support the Nets Manager and Assistant Manager Nets in ensuring the integrity and optimal performance of fish and bird nets.
- Roping and stitching: Properly rope and stitch nets in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Splicing: Assist with splicing tasks as required.
- Training and development: Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Predator monitoring: Monitor and report any predator activity within the nets.
- Site maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained work environment.
- Risk assessments: Complete risk assessments and remain informed about workplace health and safety regulations.
About You:
- Experience in a similar position within the aquaculture or marine farming industry is desirable but not essential.
- A valid driver's license or reliable means of transportation is required.
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time with attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player who can adhere to company policies and procedures.
