Fish Net Maintenance Specialist

Job Title:
Fish Net Maintenance SpecialistThis position requires a skilled professional to assist the Nets Manager and Assistant Manager Nets with the repair, maintenance, and general work on fish nets.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Roping and Stitching: Properly rope and stitch nets according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Splicing: Assist with splicing tasks as needed.
- Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to improve your skills and knowledge.
- Predator Monitoring: Monitor and report any predator activity, such as seals and birds, in the nets.
- Adhering to Protocols: Follow all company policies, procedures, and biosecurity protocols.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the site clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Risk Assessments: Complete risk assessments and stay informed about Work Health and Safety regulations.
- Experience in a similar position within the aquaculture or marine farming industry is desirable but not essential.
- Valid Driver's Licence or reliable mode of transport.
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time with attention to detail.
