The role sits within a team responsible for supporting investment strategy through economic modelling, research and insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring economic data and developing models that inform investment decisions.
- Conducting thematic research on macroeconomic trends, asset allocation and financial markets.
- Translating economic insights into actionable ideas that support desired outcomes.
- Clearly communicating research and modelling outputs to various stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A background in economics, econometrics or mathematics, with 2-5 years' experience in economic research and forecasting.
- Skilled in building economic models and using statistical tools and data sources. Proficiency in R is required, while familiarity with Python, SQL and MATLAB is highly desirable.
- An analytical mindset and willingness to explore new ideas and perspectives to improve understanding.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Confident communication skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse audiences.
