
Emergency Animal Care Specialist

Our hospital seeks an experienced Urgent Animal Care Professional to provide exceptional patient care during emergency situations.
This role requires a skilled and compassionate individual who can work collaboratively with our veterinary team to deliver timely and effective treatments. The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency nursing, enabling them to provide high-quality care even in busy conditions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Administer high-quality patient care to critically ill and injured animals during peak periods.
- Maintain accurate medical records, adhering to hospital protocols and ensuring seamless communication between teams.
- Collaborate with veterinarians to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Deliver support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situations, providing empathy and understanding throughout the process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certified IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working with complex emergency cases, demonstrating ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work across varying shifts, including evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster.
- A passion for continuous education and upskilling, staying abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary care.
