Product Category Manager

As a strategic leader, you will own and drive the success of one of our key product categories across both retail stores and online channels. This role is central to our business, sitting at the heart of our brand and product strategy.
This position requires a forward-thinking individual who can identify emerging trends, shape category direction, and stay ahead of customer and industry trends.You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies aligned with company growth targets. Your analytical skills will help you analyse market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, speed to market, promotional support, and trade spend.
- Partner with planning and supply teams to optimise inventory levels and avoid out-of-stocks.
- Collaborate with marketing to create compelling category campaigns and in-store experiences.
- Monitor category performance and take proactive action to hit sales margin and growth targets.
- Ensure consistent execution across online and in-store merchandising, including planograms and product placement.
- Use insights from customer and market data to continually refine and optimise the category.
Requirements:
We are looking for an individual with a commercial mindset, analytical brain, and creative thinking. You should have 5+ years of experience in merchandising, category management, or retail buying, preferably in FMCG, grocery, fashion, electronics, or other retail categories.
A track record of driving sales and margin growth through smart category strategies is essential.
Strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation skills, and proven success managing supplier relationships are also required.
Experience working across multiple channels, including digital retail and marketing partnerships, is a plus.
The confidence to make data-led decisions and adaptability to pivot when needed are key qualities we look for in our ideal candidate.
