Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Plant Technician to work on heavy plant and equipment servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on heavy plant and equipment
  • Conduct thorough diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify faults and develop effective solutions
  • Work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project goals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of work completed
Requirements:
  • Australian-recognised trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics is essential
  • Dual trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic and Auto Electrician) is highly advantageous
  • Willingness to work across both mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs
  • Ability to obtain an A/C licence and experience with auto electrical systems is beneficial
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal safety and customer welfare
  • Prior experience working with large OEM mobile machinery such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, and Hitachi is preferred
  • Capacity to work autonomously with a keen eye for detail
  • Valid HR driver's license and White Card are required
  • Motivated and positive individual ready to contribute to our dynamic team
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol screening
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with heavy equipment in mining or civil sectors
