This exciting opportunity exists to manage the Bendigo wool buying store and secure the services of an experienced wool buyer who can bring a dynamic skill set to help establish and grow the new branch.
About the Job
- Manage the Bendigo Wool store
- Value and price wool for purchase
- Class and create lines within the store
- Facilitate grower payments
- Maintain records and administer purchases in the wool system (Talman)
- Conduct on-farm consultations
Key Requirements
- Qualified and experienced in classing wool (essential)
- Experience in valuing and buying wool (advantageous but not essential)
- Computer literate, especially in the use of Talman (or similar) and MS Office
- Ability to work well within the existing collaborative team - must be willing to 'chip in' and be flexible when required
- Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and autonomously
- Driver's Licence
