Job Overview

The Central Coast Council seeks a skilled Systems Controller to join our Water Operations Centre. This exciting opportunity will utilize your knowledge of water and sewer networks in a dynamic and customer-focused team.

  • Contribute to the operation of the local community's water and sewer system.
  • Work with a permanent full-time team, ensuring a 24/7 shift roster with 12-hour shifts for work-life balance.
  • Monitor system availability, configuration, and performance in real time.
  • Proactively control system operations to minimize the impact of system failures.
  • Prioritize and triage work orders for dispatch of work crews.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to field staff as required.
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV qualification in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience in water and/or sewage network management.
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Experience and understanding of operational management of a distributed network of assets.
  • Experience and understanding of water, wastewater, and networks.
  • Ability to effectively utilize information technology, including computerized control & monitoring systems (e.g. SCADA) and geographical information systems.
