Job Description

Sika is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support to our existing customers, and develop new relationships with potential customers to meet sales targets and budgets.
  • Product Knowledge and Liaison: Liaise and communicate with customers to understand their product needs, provide product information, and ensure that they are aware of our product offerings and pricing.
  • Market Information and Analysis: Provide market information and analysis to the Sales Manager to inform sales strategies and plans.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained and obtain stock orders as needed to meet customer demands.
  • Call Cycle Management: Complete all call cycles on schedule, recording activities in Salesforce to ensure accurate sales data and reporting.
  • Merchandising and Stock Management: Undertake merchandising and stock management activities in stores as needed to ensure that products are displayed and stocked effectively.
  • Sales Growth and Development: Identify opportunities to grow Sika's market share by establishing strong relationships with key retail distribution customers and developing business plans to achieve sales growth.
  • Support to Sales and Marketing Activities: Support all Sika sales and marketing activities, including trade breakfasts, promotional events, and customer training programs.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present monthly activity summaries to the Sales Manager, and comply with sales, pricing, and expense policies.
  • Travel and Representation: Regular travel to customer sites, including regional travel, to represent Sika and build relationships with customers.
Requirements
  • Customer Service and Relationship Management: Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Business Development and Sales: Ability to develop business presentations and sales information with the sales team, and to identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Comfortable liaising with all decision-makers and working with B2B and Channel Distribution, with excellent communication and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Education and Experience: University or Trade degree or minimum of 3 years' experience in an Industrial Market Field, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, or SAP.
  • Merchandising and Sales Experience: Knowledge and previous merchandising experience in a related industry is desirable.
