About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team at WSP Global Inc. in Melbourne CBD. As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for leading hydrogeological investigations and assessments, site investigation planning and coordination, and providing specialist hydrogeological advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake and lead hydrogeological investigations and assessments to understand groundwater-related issues, including assessing the quantity, quality, and availability of groundwater.
- Plan and coordinate site investigations to gather data and information for hydrogeological assessments.
- Analyze and interpret hydrogeological data to inform project decisions.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Provide specialist hydrogeological advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior hydrogeologists and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5-12 years of experience in hydrogeology within an engineering or environmental consultancy.
- Proven track record of leading successful hydrogeological projects.
- Strong commitment to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ), mental health, and developing a safe workspace for everyone.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Developing leadership skills and experience in managing project teams.
- Experience with industry software packages, such as GIS and AQTESOLV, and coding skills (e.g. Python) will be highly regarded.
