About This Role

  • This position will play a pivotal role in driving growth and cultivating strategic partnerships for the Building and Construction team.
  • The ideal candidate is a commercially savvy, self-motivated team player who thrives on direct stakeholder engagement and is committed to exceeding both customer and company expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and successful project delivery from start to finish.
  • Manage an extensive business development program, including the planning and coordination of corporate events and suites.
  • Implement and maintain effective customer service strategies, providing expert advice and solutions, and guiding the team on tender strategies and "win themes."
  • Manage and grow our customer list, including key stakeholders, and develop strategic engagement plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify and act on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Represent the business at trade events and functions to expand our network and brand presence.
  • Work closely with the Bid and Marketing Managers to prepare customer presentations and inform social media engagement.
  • Report monthly on strategic progress to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Experience in sales or business development within the commercial construction industry.
  • Understanding of commercial construction processes, building trades, and commercial frameworks.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and customer service skills. Public speaking skills highly regarded for this role.
