Diabetes Educator Position

Seeking an experienced and passionate Diabetes Educator to join our team, providing clinical leadership, education, and care for women with diabetes and their families.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, physicians, and endocrinologists to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality educational programs and resources to support the needs of women with diabetes and their families.
  • Provide expert consultation and clinical practice in diabetes care, encompassing obstetric and neonatal care.
  • Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the Diabetes Education team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Division 1.
  • Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education or equivalent.
  • Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) status with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA).
  • Minimum 5 years post-registration experience in acute hospital-based complex care environments.
  • Advanced clinical skills and knowledge in diabetes care, with demonstrated ability to exercise autonomy and initiative.
