About the Role
Ventia is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team on the Department of Justice contract. This role will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on-time, on-budget, and to a high-quality standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and advice on commercial matters related to contract entitlement, claims, and disputes.
- Review the financial position of the contract and identify potential risks or gaps in performance or revenue recovery.
- Develop and implement strategies to address these risks and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Prepare and negotiate contract variations, extensions, and additional work to maximize the value of the contract agreement.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate key milestones and deadlines to stakeholders.
- Address deviations or issues promptly and work towards resolving them in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Finance, or Commerce.
- Significant experience in negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking.
- Knowledge of commercial and contract requirements, principles, and practices.
- High-level computer skills and report writing abilities.
- Experience in contract and commercial preparation and negotiation.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes.
- Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment.
- Excellent knowledge of laws, contracts, acts, regulations, and standards.
