About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Infrastructure Project Director to oversee and manage local civils/underground pipelines/earthworks/roadworks projects in the south-west region of Western Australia.

As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful project outcomes through effective project planning, execution, and leadership. Your technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and safety expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality projects while managing site teams, client interfaces, and financial aspects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager for civil contractors, with a proven track record in successfully delivering projects in Australia or similar regions. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification is essential, along with strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end management of civils/pipelines/earthworks/roadworks projects, adhering to schedules, budgets, and specifications.
  • Provide commercial and contractual oversight of projects, with regular progress reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to establish strong working relationships and drive project success.
  • Manage and mentor professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Uphold strict safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain effective communication channels to inform stakeholders and address project concerns.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager for civil contractors, with a proven track record in delivering projects in Australia or similar regions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Sound commercial acumen and contractual understanding of AS2124 contracts.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and build stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Existing rights to live and work in Australia.
