This trusted civil contracting business is renowned for their rigorous approach to project delivery excellence, and as such they have a strong track record of success on numerous major industrial developments in Western Australia. They have recently secured a new scope of work (earthworks and concrete foundations) on a greenfields industrial project in the region that requires the appointment of an exceptional project lead to oversee their team on site.
About the Role
As project lead, you will be provided with a dual cab ute and fuel card by the company, and work on a 5/2 DIDO roster to a construction site located around 90 minutes drive from Perth. You will assume overall responsibility for the management and delivery of the project scope, on time and on budget, while leading a project team of 30-40 staff. This role will allow you to be based in Perth and travel to the region during the week, before returning to spend your weekends with your family and friends. The specific scope of work that you will be managing is a $12m earthworks, internal roads, and concrete foundations project. While leading the project team, you will work to develop a cohesive team culture and drive high performance while managing the client interface. This role will suit a civil project lead with proven 5+ years' experience as a project manager for civil contractors in Australia on civil/earthworks/concrete scopes of work in mining/industrial/renewables environments.

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years' experience as a project manager leading delivery of civil construction projects
- Proven success managing teams on projects including detailed earthworks and concrete foundations
- Strong planning and scheduling skills
- Ability to manage, forecast, and report on project costs and progress
- Excellent all-round communication skills to manage staff, subbies, and the client interface
- Strong, proven leadership skills to lead a team of 30+ on site
- Currently Perth or Bunbury based to undertake a 5/2 DIDO roster to Western Australia's South-West
- Existing rights to work in Australia
- Clean WA C Class Drivers Licence
- Available within 4 weeks' notice period
