We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Professional to join our team. As a valued member, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

Role Overview

This rewarding role involves supporting clients with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, intellectual disabilities, or autism. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized support plans that promote independence, confidence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing direct support to clients in their homes, communities, and other settings, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
  • Encouraging and supporting clients to participate in recreational activities, social events, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements

  • A Certificate III or IV in Disability or a related field (or willingness to obtain)
  • At least 12 months of experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a support worker role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, with a willingness to maintain ongoing professional development
