About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support clients to maintain their physical and mental health, including accompanying them to medical appointments and therapy sessions.
  • Encourage and support clients to engage in activities they enjoy, promoting social inclusion and community participation.
  • Develop and implement personal support plans in consultation with clients, their families, and other relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with other InLife staff and external services to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in disability support or a related field (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, particularly those with complex support needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license (essential).
