About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker with InLife, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides essential support to individuals with complex needs. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to clients with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and neurological conditions.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support clients to maintain their independence by encouraging them to participate in activities they enjoy.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment by adhering to InLife's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Good judgment and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to our values.
  • A bubbly and engaging personality, both clients are highly social and love to have a good chat.
  • To be comfortable supporting clients with pet care, staff need to be comfortable with dogs and cats.
  • Experience in mental health - Qualification in mental health preferred but not necessary.
  • Experiences with complex BOC - behaviors of concern.
  • Ability to take initiative and encourage clients to work towards their goals.
  • Access to car and have driver's license - Comfortable supporting clients in the community.
  • Commitment to working with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals.
