We operate in Melbourne, Geelong, and regional Victoria, including Benalla, Wangaratta, Stawell, and Bendigo.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position starts at $43.67 per hour on weekdays after induction, plus access to salary packaging (which can mean extra take-home pay).

Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in providing individualised support to our clients, helping them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality support to clients with complex needs
  • Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the development of care plans
  • Identifying and reporting any concerns or changes in a client's condition
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to our values
  • A bubbly and engaging personality, comfortable supporting clients with pet care, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in mental health, preferably with qualifications in mental health; experience supporting people with physical disabilities, including transfers and use of equipment
  • Comfortable supporting clients in the community, requiring access to a car and a driver's license
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals
