Regional Support Specialist

The Farmgate Peer Support Program is a community-focused initiative that provides mental health and emotional support to individuals, families, and communities affected by regional and rural challenges.

About the Role

As a Regional Support Specialist, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and mental health professionals to provide support and information to those in need across the Hunter New England region. You will engage with individuals who have been impacted by natural disasters, economic pressures, social isolation, and changes in local industries.

About You

We seek an individual with a strong commitment to regional and rural communities, an understanding of the adversities they face, and experience in helping others navigate prolonged stress. Key skills and qualifications include high-level communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

Requirements

Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for this role are essential. A Certificate IV in Peer Support Work is highly desirable but not required.
