Property Construction Lawyer

This role plays a pivotal part in advancing Mission Australia's vision of a fairer society.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert legal advice on complex property, construction and finance matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate sophisticated legal agreements, including development contracts, construction documents, financing arrangements and leasing terms.
- Manage legal risks, compliance obligations and governance requirements to support the delivery of social and affordable housing projects.
- Engage and oversee external legal advisors to ensure effective collaboration.
- Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks and conflicts of interest.
- Prepare and contribute to Board papers.
- Collaborate with internal teams on property transactions, acquisitions, disposals and financing activities.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with current Australian practising certificate and a minimum of five years' post-admission experience.
- Extensive experience in property, construction, development and finance law.
- Advanced drafting, negotiation and advisory skills.
- Proven ability to engage and manage external legal advisors.
- Strong risk management and problem-solving capability.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
