Process Safety Superintendent

At Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF), we are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety and quality function, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of Process Safety Systems and guidelines that address specific issues associated with Major Hazardous Facilities and Dangerous Goods operations.

The successful candidate will have a passion for improving safety risk management in complex chemical processing plants and proven ability to engage and motivate others to contribute. Key responsibilities include:

  • Effectively managing major accident hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
  • Leading and monitoring process safety incident investigations, reporting, and implementation of recommendations to establish cause and improve process safety performance.
  • Defining, communicating, monitoring, and managing delivery of Process Safety Objectives, targets, and KPI's.
  • Maintaining and improving knowledge and understanding of process safety management systems, industry practices, and emerging technologies.

We welcome applications from candidates with a tertiary qualification in engineering, preferably chemical or instrumentation and control. Direct experience working in chemical processing environments is essential, as is demonstrable experience in a similar role.
