General Manager

A dynamic and visionary leader is sought to guide our Christian community radio station into its next exciting chapter. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organisational, and team-building skills, with a deep understanding of Christian broadcasting and ministry-focused communication.

Job Description:

Leadership Role:

  • Lead the station in achieving its mission of sharing the living hope of Jesus.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the station's operations and reach.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork among staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Christ-centred, servant leadership to radio staff and volunteers.
  • Nurture a positive, mission-driven culture aligned with 1WAYFM values.
  • Manage donor and sponsor relationships.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and manage risk.
  • Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, professional development, and volunteer management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Business, Ministry Leadership, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in management or equivalent leadership role.
  • Experience in donor development, budget management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of ACMA, CBAA, and CMAA regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
