Safety Health and Sustainability Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Health and Sustainability (SHS) Advisor to join our team at Qube. As an SHS Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective SHS management plans to meet site performance targets and corporate requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, operational procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with third-party site representatives, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Drive the establishment and implementation of SHS consultation and communication processes, including WHS Representatives, WHS Committees, and toolbox meetings.
- Provide leadership and assistance in developing a safety culture and environment that is consistent across all safety-critical functions.
- Establish, implement, and monitor inspection and audit programs for sites, including maritime safety requirements.
- Implement the change management standard and ensure compliance with all legislative and legal obligations related to WHS and workers' compensation.
- Provide advice and support to site managers on SHS matters, including incident investigation and analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and coach site operations staff on SHS accountabilities to ensure effective implementation of SHSMS.
- Compile high-quality and accurate monthly reporting on SHS performance.
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS/WHS.
- A minimum of five years' experience leading in an operational SHS environment.
- Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) certification.
- Experience in implementing and managing safety management systems.
- Ability to develop tactical plans to address safety issues.
- Heavy industry experience (mobile plant, lifting) preferred.
- Return to Work Coordinator certification.
