Key Mechanical Infrastructure Engineer Role

Operate on an 8/6 roster or from regional SA, either residentially, FIFO ex-Adelaide or DIDO.
Ensure the safety of team members and stakeholders. Drive departmental capability using BHP Operating System tools.
Lead mechanical improvement projects from planning through to execution and closeout. Support leadership in managing risk across mechanical systems.
Conduct routine budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting. Provide clear guidance and oversight for team members.
">About the Position
">A high-level engineer with expertise in heavy industry, mining, or underground operations will be a key asset to this role. Strong understanding of compressed air systems, water reticulation, pumping stations, barricades, backfill reticulation, and ventilation systems is required.
Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Advanced skills in Power BI for data consolidation and analysis are essential. Effective communication skills at all levels of the business are necessary.
This is a dynamic and hands-on position that offers broad scope responsibility, combining technical engineering, project management, coordination, and execution.
">About You
">- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field are preferred. Experience in heavy industry, mining, or underground operations is advantageous.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Power BI for data consolidation and analysis.
