Mechanical Infrastructure Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled Underground Mechanical Engineer to join our operational team, supporting underground operations through mechanical infrastructure installation and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in transitioning to Cemented Paste Fill (CPF) in FY26 and help prepare our Services team for transition.
About the Role- This position is part of our Underground Mine Services operational team, responsible for championing a culture of care and acting as a visible safety leader for the Mine Services team and stakeholders.
- The successful candidate will analyze operational data and apply tools to drive departmental capability, leading mechanical improvement projects from planning to execution and closeout.
- Additionally, they will support leadership in managing risk and understanding risk appetite across mechanical systems, conducting routine budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical infrastructure such as compressed air systems, water reticulation, pumping stations, barricades, backfill reticulation, and ventilation systems.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline are essential.
- Experience in heavy industry, mining, or underground operations is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in PowerBI for data consolidation and analysis.
- A strong customer service mindset and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business are also required.
