Dedicated Community Champion

We're seeking a passionate Community Manager to join our team and advocate for the success of our clients and community of Women of Colour. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for community and a deep desire to contribute to elevating all WoC.

The Community Manager is responsible for identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and developing a diverse range of community groups for our different client and impact projects using data and analytical insights. This includes fostering strong relationships with our intersectional communities and Allies, executing programs to engage our communities including workshops, events, and marketing campaigns, managing a portfolio of community groups, and tracking and analysing community growth metrics to ensure engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

The Community Manager will also develop custom analytical strategies using insights, optimise overall performance, manage a portfolio of Communities using internal measurement tools and data analysis, lead and project manage events to support the community ecosystem, and represent us in the community, building our reputation as a great community partner.

1. Identify, recruit, onboard and develop a diverse range of community groups for our different client and impact projects using data and analytical insights.
2. Foster strong relationships with our intersectional communities and Allies, among others, and assist with the growth of their engagement as part of our community.
3. Execute programs to engage our communities including workshops, events, and marketing campaigns.
4. Manage a portfolio of community groups and share best practices to help them succeed and keep them engaged as part of our community.
5. Implement retention strategies to ensure long-term engagement of engaged communities including workshops, events, networking opportunities, and lead the community promotions strategy to improve the feedback we receive from the community.
6. Track and analyse community growth metrics to ensure engagement, retention and satisfaction.
7. Solicit, organise, and contextualise feedback from the community.
8. Develop custom analytical strategies using insights, optimise overall performance.
9. Manage a portfolio of Communities using internal measurement tools and data analysis.
10. Lead and project manage events to support the community ecosystem.
11. Represent us in the community, building our reputation as a great community partner.

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• A commercial mindset gained through 2+ years of work experience in an early stage startup or an agency – you have a very clear understanding of just how far you have to stretch every dollar.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel to visit partners, attend events, etc.
• Team player, strong people skills and ability to engage on all levels of the organisation.
• Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Kind heart.
• Love Data: have experience working in CRM databases, and love diving into the numbers and analysing performance.
• Community Management Experience: especially if you've been in the startup space.
• Business development experience.
• Experience in video production and/or graphic design.
• Love of digital storytelling.
