Job Summary

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the finance function in Broadbeach QLD. This includes leading a small team, managing revenue invoicing, general journal entries, and intercompany transactions.

You will also ensure timely closing of monthly financial periods, deliver Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports, and tackle reconciliations with finesse from fixed assets to intercompany loans.

Additionally, you will manage compliance matters including BAS lodgement, payroll, superannuation, and audit support. You will strengthen internal controls and contribute to process and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a small finance team, championing collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Accurately manage revenue invoicing, general journal entries, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly financial periods and deliver Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
  • Tackle reconciliations with finesse from fixed assets to intercompany loans.
  • Manage compliance matters including BAS lodgement, payroll, superannuation, and audit support.
Qualifications and Skills
  • CPA or CA qualified (highly desirable but not essential).
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar finance role, or 5+ years' proven industry experience.
  • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced time management, autonomy, and attention to detail.
