About This Role
This leadership position drives enterprise-wide strategy, governance, and performance accountability for rail network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data-driven insights to inform strategic decision making and drive continuous improvement in network performance.
- Ensure the integrity and transparency of network performance reporting to stakeholders.
- Lead investigations into operational issues and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and identify systemic issues; develop recommendations to improve network performance.
- Develop and govern the enterprise-wide performance framework for rail operations, aligning with strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.
- Provide actionable insights to operational branches to enhance network performance.
About You / Qualifications:
- Proven experience in rail operations with expertise in investigation and reporting on engineering, operational, emergency, and safety incidents.
- Strong background managing complex data sets, including data optimisation and governance.
- Experience overseeing investigations and performance issues in a complex operating environment.
- Effective stakeholder management skills with experience leading a function within a high-reliability/high-risk environment in a large organisation.
- Ability to operate in a matrix reporting environment with a customer-oriented mindset and understanding of service delivery demands.
- Adaptive leader who can motivate teams towards business objectives and drive transformation.
