Job Title: Network Performance Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to drive enterprise-wide strategy, governance and performance accountability across our network.

This role will deliver data-driven insights and lead investigations into operational issues to enhance service reliability and inform operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive performance framework that aligns with our strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.
  • Lead investigations into operational issues and incidents, perform root cause analysis and identify systemic issues; develop recommendations to improve network performance.
  • Provide independent recommendations that inform strategic decision making and drive continuous improvement in network performance.
  • Be accountable for the integrity and transparency of network performance reporting to our executive team.
  • Deliver data-driven actionable insights to operational branches to improve network performance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in rail operations with knowledge of investigation and reporting on engineering, operational, emergency and safety incidents.
  • Deep experience managing complex data sets, including data optimisation and governance.
  • Experience overseeing investigations and performance issues in a complex operating environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience leading a function within a high-reliability / high-risk environment in a large and complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to operate in a matrix reporting environment with a customer-oriented mindset and understanding of service delivery demands.
