As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and plans that guide the effective management and enhancement of our open spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and plans that guide the effective management and enhancement of Council's open spaces.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure that parks, public spaces, and streetscapes are developed in alignment with Council objectives.
- Analyze data to inform key metrics related to open space use, safety perceptions, and greening initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on Concept Plans, Detailed design, and strategic projects.
- Prepare Master Plans, Business Cases, Feasibility Studies, and other critical documents.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong background in Open Space Planning and Landscape Architectural design practices.
- Experience in tackling complex challenges related to open space networks, Crown land management, parks and reserves, or environmental management.
- Excellent analytical and lateral thinking skills, with the ability to critically evaluate both your own and others' designs.
- Strong graphical communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, concepts, and designs.
- Experience in consultation and community engagement within a Local Government context.
