Registered Nurse/Midwife

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse/Midwife to join our team in the Private Ward at Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, person-centered nursing care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care on a shift-by-shift basis, assessing individual needs and implementing care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet individual health care needs, coordinating services across various disciplines.
- Act as a team leader, coordinating patient care and supporting staff, while promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Engage in health promotion and education initiatives for patients and families, promoting consumer-centered care and high nursing standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities to enhance patient safety, participating in quality improvement initiatives and supporting the professional development of newer staff and students.
- Current registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to solve problems and manage conflicts, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and creativity in addressing healthcare challenges.
- Commitment to consumer-centered care and high nursing standards, with knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and quality improvement systems.
