Job Title: Registered Nurse/Midwife

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse/Midwife to join our team at Mount Barker Hospital's Maternity Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality midwifery care to women in our community, working in partnership with them to support their health and well-being throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood.

As a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will be responsible for assessing women's needs, planning and implementing appropriate care, and coordinating services to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide midwifery care to women in the Maternity Department, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
  • Assess women's needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Work in partnership with women to support their health and well-being throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, hold a current practising certificate, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and colleagues, and be proficient in the use of information technology.
