About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Manager - Occupational Therapy to join our team at Goodstart Early Learning. As a key member of our Centre Support Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our centre teams to create impactful, high-quality, inclusive early learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage Occupational Therapy services in Goodstart centres
  • Oversee documentation of the Occupational Therapy service
  • Provide leadership to Occupational Therapists delivering services to ensure delivery of high-quality, inclusive early years practices
  • Provide leadership to the Occupational Therapy team to ensure families and children have access to high-quality and timely supports
  • Maintain a focus on high standards of Health and Safety, relating to Occupational Therapy Practitioners, Children, and all Goodstarters

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of child development (birth - 5 years)
  • Strong understanding of relevant early childhood frameworks and standards including the Early Years Learning Framework v2, the National Quality Standard, and the NDIS Early Childhood Approach
  • Strong understanding and ability to apply attachment theory and trauma-informed practice
  • Experience managing a team of professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interprofessional team
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and coaching skills, including the ability to consult with relevant staff, teams, and professionals to achieve improved outcomes for children and families
  • Ability to document, analyse, and report on relevant key performance indicators
  • Maintain a high level of ethical and professional behaviour, including preserving the confidentiality of children, families, and organisations
